If there’s one food that has been my most consumed food in my life, itvery well might be peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Since I was young and had my mom cut off the crusts for me, it’s been my number one go to snack when I feel myself starting to get a little drained.
The only problem is, I’ve been making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches wrong for years! I would spread on some thick peanut butter onto a piece of bread, throw on a nice light layer of jelly, and then put the top piece on. Then, based on how I was feeling that day, cut it in a diagonal or horizontal manner.
Well by spreading both condiments on the same piece of bread, you’re making the sandwich inconsistent. Some bites will give you a big pocket of jelly, while others will be almost all peanut butter.
The solution? Spread them individually on separate pieces of bread and put them together. This makes things much easier to spread, and will give you an even spread every time.
