362. Sleep Like The Military 💤

Imagine trying to sleep in the middle of a warzone. Some of the situations military soldiers have to sleep in seem impossible. And yet, they find ways to catch some Z’s.

So what’s their secret? Well it’s a little trick called the Military Method:

All you have to do is relax your entire body starting from your head and moving down to your toes (specifically in that order)

Unclench your jaw, let your shoulders go limp, let your arms feel weightless, take some deep breaths, and loosen the muscles in your legs and feet.

As you focus on counting your breaths, and letting your entire body feel as loose as possible, you'll drift off into dreamland in just two minutes.

363. Why Dogs Show Off Their Puppies 🐶

When a mother dog brings her puppies to you, it might look like she's proudly showing them off, but there's more to the story.

She's actually feeling a bit anxious and sees you as a safe place for her little ones.

To help ease her anxiety, create a calm and quiet environment for her and her pups. Spend some gentle, reassuring time with her, offering soft pets and soothing words.

Providing a cozy, secluded spot where she can retreat with her puppies will also make her feel more secure, and with some extra care, you can help her feel at ease and confident in caring for her new family.

364. Color Your Way to Calm 🎨

Need a break from the hustle and bustle? Grab some colored pencils and a coloring book!

A recent study published in The Journal of Positive Psychology found that coloring not only helps reduce stress but also improves mindfulness and overall mental well-being.

Psychologists have said it’s one of the best alternatives to meditation, and a fantastic way to unwind and tap into memories of simpler, carefree times.

And the best part is, they’re not just for kids anymore! There are millions of “adult coloring books” out there for sale on Amazon and at your local bookstore.
