LIFE HACK #079
Music is a powerful tool for remembering moments and feelings. If someone you care about is facing Alzheimer's, a simple way to connect is by discovering their all-time favorite songs and creating a playlist.
Music taps into the brain's ability to retain memories and evoke emotions. It helps stimulates neural pathways associated with recall and emotional response, making it a valuable tool in the face of Alzheimer's.
This helps trigger memories and emotions, offering a meaningful way to stay connected despite the challenges of the diagnosis.
LIFE HACK #080
Be mindful when tossing gum, especially around dogs. A number of popular gum brands contain a substance called xylitol. Even small amounts of xylitol can be lethal for dogs.
This is because xylitol triggers a rapid release of insulin in dogs, leading to a severe drop in blood sugar levels, a condition known as hypoglycaemia.
This can result in seizures, loss of coordination, and even death. So, it's crucial to ensure that dogs don't ingest gum containing xylitol to protect their well-being.
LIFE HACK #081
Want to catch those Zs sooner? Ditch the afternoon coffee, as about a quarter of its caffeine can linger in your system for 12 hours.
When it comes to tea, adhere to the "no tea after 3" rule for optimal sleep.
Making these adjustments can pave the way for a more restful night. So, consider tweaking your beverage habits, and let the sweet embrace of sleep take over more swiftly.
