The 5-Minute Brain Hack For Optimal Decision Making

Before making a big life decision—whether it’s quitting your job, moving to a new city, or even just picking an expensive gadget—do at least five minutes of high-intensity exercise (jump squats, sprints, burpees—whatever gets your heart pumping).

Why?

Because exercise floods your brain with oxygen and endorphins, which improve cognitive function, enhance problem-solving, and will literally help you make better decisions under pressure.

Think about it: would you rather make a life-changing choice while feeling sluggish, or when your brain is firing on all cylinders?

Studies show that exercise boosts executive function (the part of the brain responsible for logic and planning), meaning you're less likely to make impulsive or emotional choices you’ll regret later.

Plus, it’s never a bad time to get a little cardio in 😁

The Secret to Seeing a Wild Side of the Zoo

Most people go to the zoo on warm, sunny days
but that’s actually the worst time!

Animals—especially big cats, bears, and wolves—tend to nap in the heat, turning your zoo visit into a game of ‘spot the sleeping lump’.

Instead, go when it’s a little chilly, and your experience will be completely different!

In cooler weather, animals stay active to keep warm. That means you’ll see lions pacing, polar bears playing, and even sloths (yes, sloths!) moving around more than usual.

Bonus hack: If you go right when the zoo opens or close to feeding times, you’ll catch the animals at their liveliest. Less crowding, more action—it’s a win-win.

The Wrist Trick That Stops Motion Sickness in Seconds

Ever felt nauseous on a road trip, boat ride, or even while scrolling your phone in a moving car?

Instead of suffering through it, try this ancient acupressure trick:

Gently massage your wrist at the base of your thumb (specifically, the fleshy area between your thumb and index finger).

This spot is linked to the pericardium 6 (P6) acupressure point (pictured above), which studies show can calm nausea and dizziness in seconds.

Scientists believe this works by interrupting the signals between your inner ear and brain, which get out of sync when you experience motion sickness.

Bonus tip: If you know you’ll be in a situation that triggers motion sickness, try wearing a wristband that applies pressure to this point (not enough to cut off circulation though!)—it’s the same principle behind those motion sickness bands astronauts use!
